About The bonnie dwaine bed and breakfast

Bonnie Dwaine Grisell always wanted to work in the hospitality business. After retiring from teaching after 32 years, she and her husband Sid Grisell, a local funeral director, found a house in their hometown that needed some serious TLC. Both recognized its potential. They bought the property in 1996 and got to work renovating it into a bed and breakfast. The Bonnie Dwaine Bed and Breakfast officially opened September 1997.

The B&B is also named for Sid's late sister, Dwaine. All the rooms are named after family members.

Since the B&B opened, Bonnie and Sid have been active members of the Glen Dale, Moundsville, and Wheeling communities. Until Sid’s passing in August of 2020, they traveled the world together. Both worked tirelessly to support local nonprofits, and Bonnie continues those endeavors. Together, they have five children and 11 grandchildren.
